Yes, we are an Australian wide Barter Bank Service, with services and goods available to Barter throughout various States and Territories in this nation.
Yes, you can use your a Touch of TLC Barter Bank Community Membership Card Australia wide but you must provide your Community Membership Card as proof when you are bartering, including outside your home State or Territory.
You do, so you create the opportunity to generate barter agreements that suit you and that place appropriate value upon your service or goods.
You place your own value on your service or goods, meaning that you can negotiate a barter agreement that is comparable in value to the value of the service or goods you are bartering for. To give an example, you may be wanting to have some small renovation undertaken on your property and so you look in the directory for a builder or handyman. You yourself may be a hairdresser and so you calculate between you, based on reasonable market price, that the work you need done is equivalent to the cost of six haircuts. Subsequently, you agree to barter the six month’s supply of haircuts for the small home renovation job. Alternatively, you may be a cattle farmer and your goods listed in the A Touch of TLC Barter Bank e-Directory is beef. You would like to organise a cleaner to come into your home once a fortnight and so you contact a Cleaner listed in A Touch of TLC Barter Bank e-Directory and negotiate a supply of beef in return for fortnightly house cleaning services. To provide a third and different example of once off bartering, you may be short on food, including fresh fruit and vegetables and so you look in A Touch of TLC Barter Bank e-Directory for a fruit and/or vegetable grower. You contact them and offer to provide them with one music lesson in return for one carton of fresh fruit and vegetables. At all times you maintain the right to place the value you deem is appropriate on your own goods and services.
It is at each Members discretion if they choose to barter with another member or not, on every occasion. Some Community Members may be willing to barter their services or goods with you out of generosity, knowing that there may be a time when they require a service or goods and the Member they are wanting to barter with may not want or need their own services or goods on offer. The Member retains the right to decline or to come to an agreement on barter of any services and goods with each individual offer.

After informing them of these things, then you can tell them that you are not receiving any payment for your service, you are simply exchanging your service or goods with another as a once off, or on an ad hoc basis.
